The best place to start an Allen shower update is with what bothers you now: a cramped entry, too little privacy or glass that hides tile you like. Wise Glass can help you compare a new shower door or enclosure around those practical needs, then choose the glass finish and hardware that suit it.
Tell us what feels inconvenient about the current shower and who uses the bathroom. Include the opening, nearby fixtures and your privacy preference. We can help compare a practical glass layout, with the finish and care routine considered alongside the way you want the room to work each day. Note whether the existing shower base and tile will remain.

Look beyond the width of the shower opening. Notice where a second person might stand at the vanity and whether the bathroom door swings into the same area. A shower door that works in an empty room can become awkward when several doors are open together.
We can discuss a fixed panel with a hinged door or a sliding arrangement around those movements. The goal is a comfortable entry and a handle you can reach without squeezing past furniture. Mark any features that will remain, especially the vanity and toilet, so the enclosure is planned against their actual position rather than an assumed clear floor.
If the new shower will have steam, raise it at the start, before the door layout is drawn. For steam showers, Wise Glass provides the steam-rated glass enclosure only. The steam generator and controls are not part of our work.
Clear glass keeps the tile visible, while frosted or textured finishes interrupt the view to different degrees. Product names do not tell you exactly how a panel will look with your lighting. A sample placed against the bathroom finishes makes the comparison easier.
Think about both sides of the glass. You may want light inside the shower while screening the view from the vanity. Ask which finishes can be used with your chosen enclosure and how each is cleaned. The final choice should balance the look you want with the care you are prepared to give it, rather than relying on a photograph alone.
Frameless glass removes much of the metal around the panel edges, but it does not make a shower maintenance-free. Seals and hinges still collect residue, and overlapping sliding panels need room to be reached. Consider those details while you are deciding how the enclosure opens.
If easy upkeep is a priority, tell us before settling on the hardware. Ask about available coatings and the cleaning instructions that go with them. A squeegee can be useful for routine water removal, but use products appropriate for the chosen glass and finish. A care routine is easier to keep when you can comfortably reach the surfaces.
The City of Allen's Building and Permitting Division provides plan review, permitting and inspections, with applications handled through Citizen Self-Service. For a bathroom renovation, give your contractor the full scope rather than describing only the final glass enclosure. Moving plumbing or changing walls is a different conversation from selecting a finish. Keep the agreed room layout available when we discuss the shower. That lets the glass follow the bathroom you are actually building, while questions about the broader work go to the city team responsible for reviewing it. Allen is in Collin County, about 9 miles in a straight line from Wise Glass, Plano.

Tell us if you have noticed leaks or movement. New glass should not be expected to correct a problem within the shower base or waterproofing.
Frosted glass still allows light through, but its appearance depends on the finish and the room's lighting. It is worth comparing a sample in the bathroom rather than judging from a small online image. We can discuss privacy and light together before confirming which finish suits the planned panels.
That is a design choice. You can coordinate the shower hardware with the faucets or make it a deliberate contrast. Bring the finish name or a sample of the existing fittings. Similar labels can look different across manufacturers, so a visual comparison helps before you approve the final hardware selection.
Tell us about the room, the glass you have in mind and when the surrounding work will be ready.
