What to look for in a frameless enclosure
Frameless does not mean hardware disappears. Ask where the glass is supported and which clips, channels or rails you will see in the finished shower.
Details to review in the proposal:
- The glass type and thickness for your panel sizes.
- Where the hinges and supports attach.
- The channels or rails that will remain visible.
- Where seals and joints will help contain water.
- What installation includes and what needs preparing first.
Other details that change the appearance:
- Glass thickness and the look of its edges.
- Channels along the base or walls.
- Any header or support bar above the glass.
- Seals around the door and adjoining panels.
Review a drawing with the hardware marked on it. That shows more about the finished shower than the word frameless alone.
Choose a layout for your room
Start with the shower base and the space outside it. Leave room to enter and check where water may splash around the fixed panels.
A door with one fixed panel runs straight across the opening. Check its swing against the sink, toilet and towel storage.
A door between two fixed panels may suit a wider opening. Compare the entry width and the position of each joint.
A corner enclosure has glass on two sides. Fit the door position and corner to the curb and surrounding bathroom.
An angled enclosure has an entry across a corner. Each panel needs to fit the measured angles of the opening.
Full-height glass can reach toward the ceiling. Its height, supports and ventilation need to suit how the room will be used.
A sliding door may work where a swinging door does not. Share a room plan so we can discuss the available space.

Water and soap leave marks on shower glass. Think about how you will reach both sides and which cleaning routine you can keep up with.

Compare standard clear glass beside your tile and ask how to care for it.
If you want a coating, ask which products are available. Get the cleaning instructions and written terms, including what the treatment will not do.
Compare a low-iron sample if the color of light tile is a concern.
Check how the handle feels and whether it matches your fixtures. A finish can look different on a screen than in the room.
Keep the hardware manufacturer and product details with your quote. They will help if you have care or service questions later.

How fast can I get a quote for a frameless shower door?

What affects the price of a frameless shower door?
Every enclosure is custom priced. The layout matters most: each angle and miter adds fabrication cost. Glass thickness, glass type and hardware finish also affect the price. A door and one fixed panel across a straight opening has fewer angles than a corner or angled enclosure.
When is my bathroom ready for the final measurement?
Before the final measurement, every surface the glass touches (tile, curb, walls and floor) must be complete: tile set, grouted, caulked and fully cured, with waterproofing done. The shower curb must slope inward toward the drain. Ask your tile contractor to confirm this before tile is set.
How soon is the door installed after the final measurement?
Your custom glass is typically installed within 7 to 10 days after the final measurement. One in-house team handles your project from first measurement to final install. No subcontractors, no handoffs outside our company.
When can I use the shower after installation?
Wait 24 hours before the first shower so the silicone can cure, and do not touch the silicone seals while they cure. Every new shower installation comes with a bottle of Wise Care glass cleaner, left in your shower by the crew.
Where should the shower door open?
Check the space inside and outside the shower. A vanity, toilet or towel bar can get in the way of a swinging door. Agree on the swing and clearance before approving the glass.
